Picked this book up at the Library and loved it.Faith Devlin is a poor, outcast child in Prescott, Louisiana, whom absolutely adores Gray Rouillard, the town's golden boy from afar. But one fateful night he called her white trash when his rich, respected father disappeared, with her slutty mother.
Years later Faith wants to hate Gray Rouillard but she can't stop desiring him, any more than she could hide the truth about the past she had waited so long to unravel.
With Gray following her around waiting for her to show a sign she's just like her slut mother, she sets out to find the truth. That his father was murdered.
Throughout the book he sets out to hate her but starts to fall for her and help find out what truly happened that hot southern night when their lives were turned upside down.
A wonderful love story with mystery behind it. I'll definately be looking for more of Linda Howard books like this one.
